Tin Hau Temple

One of the many temples dedicated to Tin Hau built across the city, Tin Hau Temple in Causeway Bay was established by members of the Tai family in devotion to the Goddess of the Sea. Originally positioned at the waterfront, the temple is now located inland due to land reclamation but has retained much of its original form with exquisitely decorated roof ridges. The temple also houses various historic relics — one of the most notable being a bell cast during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in 1747.
